Inhouse SAP Authorization Consultant (m/w/d)

Your Responsibilities

• As the direct point of contact, you support our mid-sized customers across a variety of industries in both national and international environments.
• A core part of the role is the design, implementation, and continuous optimization of SAP authorization concepts and role models in both traditional SAP ECC environments and modern SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori landscapes.
• You take ownership of role design and maintenance (PFCG), ensuring compliance with segregation of duties (SoD) requirements and audit standards.
• Working as part of the team, you contribute to the application management of our customers’ SAP system landscapes – from analysis and design to the independent delivery of 2nd and 3rd level support.
• Day-to-day responsibilities also include analyzing authorization issues (SU53, SUIM, SU01), developing robust solutions, and documenting them in a professional help desk system.
• In addition, you identify optimization potential within existing authorization structures and help transform them into modern, future-proof concepts.
• Occasional travel to customer sites (up to 20%) is seen as an opportunity to further expand your customer-specific expertise.

Your Profile

What you bring

• A degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification with a strong IT focus
• Hands-on experience in SAP authorization management, especially with PFCG, SU01, SU24, SUIM, and SU53
• Proven expertise in designing and further developing authorization concepts in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA
• A solid understanding of segregation of duties (SoD) principles and audit-compliant authorization management
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken

Ideally, you also have

• Knowledge of SAP Fiori authorizations and tile configuration
• Experience with SAP GRC Access Control or comparable tools such as XAMS/XITING or SAP IAG
• Basic knowledge of SAP BTP
• Familiarity with adjacent SAP modules such as FI, MM, SD, or HCM
