Director Digital (m/f/d) Manufacturing Services

The Director (m/f/d) of Digital Manufacturing Services is a strategic leader responsible for driving Syntax’s SAP Digital Manufacturing (SAP DM) initiatives globally. The role focuses on managing and developing a team of SAP DM consultants to help customers seamlessly integrate SAP DM solutions from ERP level to shop-floor level. The Director will play a pivotal role in enabling digital transformation for manufacturing clients, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering measurable business outcomes.

1. Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a global team of SAP Digital Manufacturing consultants and solution architects.
• Develop team capabilities in SAP DM, ensuring expertise in both ERP integration and shop-floor implementation.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture that encourages innovation and knowledge sharing.

2. Strategic Direction:

• Define the strategic roadmap for SAP Digital Manufacturing services, aligning with Syntax’s overall business goals.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and SAP innovations to ensure Syntax remains a leader in Digital Manufacturing solutions.
• Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities to expand SAP DM offerings across global markets.

3. Customer Engagement:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers embarking on SAP Digital Manufacturing projects.
• Work closely with customers to understand their manufacturing processes and tailor SAP DM solutions to address their unique needs.
• Ensure successful project delivery, from ERP integration to shop-floor implementation, meeting time, scope, and quality expectations.

4. Operational Excellence:

• Develop and monitor KPIs for project success, team efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Identify and mitigate risks in project execution, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions for clients.
• Optimize internal processes and workflows to enhance service delivery and scalability.

5. Thought Leadership:

• Represent Syntax in industry forums, conferences, and webinars as a thought leader in SAP Digital Manufacturing.
• Contribute to whitepapers, case studies, and other marketing materials to showcase Syntax’s expertise in SAP DM.
• Build partnerships with SAP and other technology providers to enhance the service offering.

Your Profile:

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or digital transformation, with a strong focus on SAP Digital Manufacturing solutions.
• Proven track record of leading global teams and delivering large-scale SAP DM (or comparable technologies) projects.
• Experience in ERP systems (especially SAP S/4HANA) and their integration with shop-floor solutions.

Technical Expertise:

• In-depth knowledge of SAP DM or other MES solutions.
• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies such as IoT, AI/ML, robotics, and automation.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes.

Leadership Skills:

• Strong project management skills with experience in Agile methodologies.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
• Ability to lead and inspire multicultural, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced global environment.
