The Chief Architect – SAP S/4HANA Programs serves as the overall design authority for SAP transformation projects, defining and governing the end-to-end architecture across public and private cloud environments. The role ensures cohesive design, sequencing, and integration across all functional, data, development, and testing domains while aligning the solution with Syntax’s delivery standards. The Chief Architect structures the work, defines content standards, and ensures all teams understand what must be delivered, when, and how, enabling coordinated and efficient program execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and govern the end-to-end architecture for SAP S/4HANA implementations across cloud environments.
• Ensure cohesive design, sequencing, and integration across all workstreams and domains.
• Establish content standards for design deliverables and ensure adherence to Syntax delivery standards.
• Structure work across teams and manage dependencies and sequencing between functional, technical, data, and testing activities.
• Ensure teams clearly understand what to deliver, when to deliver it, and how their work integrates into the overall solution.
• Evaluate relative effort and complexity across workstreams to support realistic planning, prioritization, and delivery alignment.
• Govern key architecture and integration decisions, including integration with non-SAP systems.

Your Profile

• Extensive experience in SAP solution architecture and S/4HANA transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes, particularly in manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to structure complex program work, manage cross-domain dependencies, and ensure integrated solution delivery.
• Strong communication and stakeholder alignment skills across business and technical teams.
