SAP FICO Solution Architect, Public Cloud

Responsibilities:

• Lead SAP Finance consultant on high-priority, shorter-term projects and value assessments within Public Cloud environments.
• Assist in Finance pre-sales activities (RFP responses, client discovery, demo preparation, and delivery), ensuring alignment with Public Cloud solutions and architectures.
• Provide finance quality assurance on longer-term projects, focusing on scalability, security, and best practices in cloud-based deployments.
• Collaborate with the Director, Finance Solutions, and other Solution Architects to enhance Syntax’s cloud-native intellectual property, finance solutions, industry-specific offerings, and delivery capabilities.
• Design and implement complex finance enhancements/extensions to standard SAP using the latest SAP and cloud-native technologies (e.g., SAP BTP, hyperscaler integrations).
• Provide functional and architectural guidance to teams designing cutting-edge Public Cloud solutions in the Finance space (e.g., Mobile solutions, Business Intelligence, and AI-driven automation).
• Optimize SAP Finance solutions for performance, security, and compliance in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, or SAP RISE with hyperscalers).

Qualifications:

• 13+ years of hands-on SAP Finance (FI/CO) experience with a strong focus on Public Cloud deployments.
• Minimum 5 full life cycle implementations of SAP as a Finance lead on large, complex projects, preferably in cloud-hosted environments.
• Proven expertise in implementing SAP best practices in Public Cloud and hybrid environments.
• Experience with S/4HANA Finance (Release 1809 and above), including working knowledge of Fiori, SAP BTP, and hyperscaler integrations.
• Strong understanding of multi-tenant architectures, cloud security, and FinOps considerations.
• Excellent communication and management consulting skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders in a cloud-first transformation journey.
• Knowledge of Group Reporting, SAC-P, and other bolt-ons is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of Standard Revenue Recognition and Event-Based Revenue Recognition is a plus.
• Experience integrating central AP Invoicing solutions (e.g., OpenText) in cloud environments is beneficial.
• Ability to work in USA and Canada – sponsorship is not provided.
