**Job Title:** SAP Finance Solution Architect, Mining

**Job Summary:**
The SAP Finance Solution Architect at Syntax plays a critical role in managing the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP financial solutions tailored to meet the unique business needs of the mining sector. Acting as a strategic advisor and technical expert, this position bridges the gap between finance stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that SAP functionalities align with financial processes, regulatory requirements, and organizational goals. The architect will facilitate seamless integration across SAP modules, addressing complex finance challenges and driving operational efficiency.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Solution Design and Implementation:**
  - Design SAP finance solutions focused on SAP FI (Financial Accounting), SAP CO (Controlling), and SAP PS (Project Accounting/Assets Under Construction).
  - Provide quality assurance for configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP finance modules.
  - Ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, PP) and third-party systems, adhering to best practices and industry standards.

- **Business Process Optimization:**
  - Analyze existing financial processes and recommend SAP-enabled improvements for enhanced efficiency and compliance.
  - Propose solutions to automate manual financial processes and improve reporting capabilities.

- **Stakeholder Collaboration:**
  - Serve as the primary liaison between finance stakeholders and the SAP technical team.
  - Gather and document requirements to ensure alignment with organizational and regulatory standards.
  - Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring effective communication throughout project lifecycles.

- **Leadership and Team Management:**
  - Lead a functional team of consultants, ensuring high-quality delivery of SAP financial solutions.
  - Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.
  - Collaborate with project managers to define and manage timelines, resources, and budgets.

- **Training and Support:**
  - Develop training materials and conduct workshops for end-users and finance teams.
  - Provide post-implementation support, addressing issues related to SAP finance functionalities.

- **Documentation and Reporting:**
  - Maintain comprehensive documentation for solution designs, including process flows, configurations, and user guides.
  - Develop dashboards and reports to monitor financial performance and SAP system effectiveness.

- **Compliance and Risk Management:**
  - Ensure SAP solutions comply with financial regulations (e.g., IFRS, GAAP, tax laws) and internal policies.
  - Identify risks and implement controls to maintain data integrity and security.

**Required Qualifications:**
- Extensive knowledge of SAP FI and CO modules, including submodules like General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Cost Center Accounting, and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA).
- Understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control processes.
- Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA (Private and Public Cloud) and SAP Fiori applications.
- Familiarity with integration tools such as SAP PI/PO, APIs, and BTP.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, including regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Experience in asset-intensive industries, particularly mining, oil & gas, or building materials.
- Innovative thinking to propose solutions that drive tangible business results.
- Knowledge of financial integration with SAP modules such as MM, SD, and PP.

**Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- SAP certifications in relevant finance modules (preferred).
