Business Development Representative - SAP Technical Managed Services
Job Summary:
The Business Development Representative (BDR) for SAP Technical Managed Services is responsible for generating new opportunities for Technical Managed Services including Private and Public Cloud Hosting for SAP and non-SAP applications, Security Services, End User Services, Service Desk and CxLink. This role focuses on engaging prospects in close alignment with the sales territory managers.
The role is the first contact with the customer with the aim of securing a meeting between the responsible sales representative and the customer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify opportunities for SAP Technical Managed Service solutions, addressing IT infrastructure, IT network, Private or Public Cloud, End User or Security challenges at the customer.
- Engage decision-makers such as CIOs, VP IT, Director IT through strategic outreach efforts.
- Create and execute targeted campaigns for specific industries and use cases.
- Leverage Syntax’s marketing collateral and events to spark conversations with prospects.
- Conduct discovery calls to understand pain points and position Syntax’s SAP Technical Managed Service solutions as value-driven offerings.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and AE teams to align on priorities and messaging.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of activities and results in Salesforce and HubSpot
Requirements:
- Native or near native English language skills
- Ideally, 1–2 years of experience in an IT sales or business development role.
- High level of curiosity about the industry, willingness to learn relevant terms and to understand the Syntax value proposition as well as the Syntax portfolio.
- Desire to move into a sales representative role as the next career step.
- Pro-active and open minded.
- Disciplined and organized.
- Excellent interpersonal and time-management skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
