Training Content Developer
Position Summary
The Training Content Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining engaging learning materials and training programs that support employee development and business objectives. This role collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs), stakeholders, and instructional designers to create effective learning solutions across various delivery methods, including e-learning, instructor-led training, virtual training, and job aids.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and update training content for internal and external audiences.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather, validate, and organize content.
- Create engaging learning materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, guides, job aids, videos, and assessments.
- Apply instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies to maximize learner engagement and retention.
- Develop training curricula and learning paths aligned with business goals.
- Ensure training materials are accurate, consistent, and aligned with company standards.
- Review and revise existing content based on feedback, process changes, and business needs.
- Support training delivery and implementation as required.
- Measure training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Manage multiple content development projects while meeting deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Communications, Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience developing training content, learning materials, or instructional programs.
- Experience with instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, or similar).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience creating e-learning content using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Captivate, Camtasia, or similar.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and learning technologies.
- Experience in corporate training, technology, customer service, or professional services environments.
- Instructional Design certification or related credentials preferred.
