PURPOSE:

Under the direction of the Senior Manager, SAP Basis, The Technical Lead, SAP Basis is responsible for the management of the SAP environment providing technical support and leadership on SAP Basis systems providing regular operation and development of services for customer in most effective way from short and middle term perspective.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Manage SAP Environment strategy and provide assessment and validation of SAP platforms.

· Assist with troubleshooting system and application performance issues, oversees the monitoring of daily system health checks and coordinates overall system tuning and go live support.

· Promote the use of Syntax automation tools within the team.

· Applies database administration knowledge to evaluate database performance

· Interaction with project team members and supporting the team through implementation process

· Interacting with multiple teams during system build and implementation process

· Check changes & incidents of the last 24h and readiness of daily operations

· Check progress of active incidents according to the ticket report

· Check quality of owned changes before CAB takes place (tasks and changes)

· Check progress of assigned problems

· RCA quality review and follow up with the different assigned Consultants, SAP Basis, PRM start time within the appropriated SLA and Root cause found in time and document appropriate solutions for long term stability and performance improvement

· Check progress of assigned tasks and change orders assigned to the technical lead, SAP Basis and the assigned Consultants, SAP Basis

· Check forecast of activities (new orders, customers etc.) with impact on performance

· Technical owner of standardization, focusing automation tools usage.

· Check documentation and update it on a regular basis to provide the most recent findings to be implemented in customer landscapes.

· Implement team lessons learned and initiate proactive measures

· Ensure Incidents, Problems, Changes, Orders are up to date

· Ensure presentation of process changes within team meeting.

· Check system load (performance) and provide technical recommendations to the customers and other groups to ensure stability and performance

· Check own assignment group in Service Now and keep it updated based on team changes and customers reassigned

· Assure removal ISAE & Audit Findings (on demand) and ensure SAP standards templates, mentoring and quality checks are correctly configured on a continuous effort for customer assignments

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science and related areas, ideally with an MBA/CPA or related degree

· ITIL Training, better to have an ITIL certification

· 5-10 years of overall professional experience in SAP Basis support

· Superior technical SAP product knowledge

· Advanced SAP certification at the ‘Professional’ level

· Extensive experience in SAP technologies and delivering solutions at FIT

· Full-time SAP implementation experience

· Applicant must possess strong written and oral communication skills, excellent problem resolution and interpersonal skills

· Database Administration experience is highly recommended

ü Knowledge and awareness of agreed services (SLA/OLA) per customer

ü KPI status of incidents / changes for customer problem / operational reporting; real time ability to report performance and quality status

§ Communication - management of a "customer focused” mindset within the team. The understanding of “customer satisfaction” is central to this role, and the promotion and cascade of this responsibility to all team members.

 

§ Think and act in terms of service (not product) - the promotion and use of ITIL processes and relevant tools to correctly manage activities. The assurance that all relevant Key Measure (KM) Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are met on an ongoing basis, in order to ensure that relevant Service Level Agreements (SLA) are adhered to as required.

§ Relationship building - maintain and ensure good business relationships internally, suppliers and all partners
