SAP Consultant, PP/MM

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled SAP MM/PP Consultant to join our team and support the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of SAP Materials Management (MM) and Production Planning (PP) modules. The consultant will be responsible for gathering requirements, configuring, testing, and supporting SAP MM and PP solutions that meet business needs. This role requires extensive knowledge of SAP MM/PP modules, supply chain processes, and best practices to help optimize operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SAP MM/PP Configuration and Implementation:

   • Configure SAP MM and PP modules to support business processes in procurement, inventory management, material requirements planning (MRP), and production scheduling.
   • Customize SAP MM/PP settings according to business needs, including master data setup, material master, BOMs, routing, and work center configurations.

2. Business Requirements Analysis:

   • Collaborate with business stakeholders and functional teams to gather, analyze, and document requirements related to MM and PP processes.
   • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions within SAP MM and PP.

3. Process Optimization:

   • Identify and implement process improvements for procurement, inventory management, production planning, and shop floor control.
   • Optimize procurement and production workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely material availability.

4. Testing and Quality Assurance:

   • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) for MM/PP configurations and customizations.
   • Ensure data accuracy and system integrity across MM and PP modules.

5. Documentation and Training:

   • Create and maintain detailed documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and test scripts.
   • Provide training and support to end users on MM/PP functionalities and processes.

6. Support and Troubleshooting:

   • Provide ongoing support and troubleshoot issues related to MM and PP modules.
   • Resolve incidents, address system errors, and implement improvements to stabilize SAP MM and PP processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: 4+ years of experience as an SAP MM/PP consultant, with full-cycle implementation experience.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.

• Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of SAP MM (procurement, inventory management, MRP) and SAP PP (production planning, scheduling, shop floor control).
  • Experience with MM/PP configuration, master data setup, and integration with other SAP modules (e.g., SD, FICO).
  • Proficiency in MRP and production scheduling processes.
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA MM/PP functionalities is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of ABAP debugging to support troubleshooting.

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP MM or PP certification.
• Experience with S/4HANA migration projects or S/4HANA MM/PP modules.
• Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Just-in-Time (JIT) production concepts.
