Job Description – Advisory Consultant

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Multicloud Advisory Consultant to join Syntax’s Global Advisory Services team. The consultant will play a key role in guiding enterprise customers through cloud adoption, optimization, and transformation journeys across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. This role blends cloud architecture expertise, strategic advisory, and strong interpersonal skills to deliver impactful business outcomes in complex IT environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage directly with clients to understand their strategic and operational objectives, translating them into tailored multicloud solutions.

• Conduct discovery and assessment sessions covering business processes, technology landscapes, and governance models.

• Design cloud strategies encompassing migration, modernization, and optimization across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Advise on workload placement decisions, cost optimization, scalability, resilience, and compliance.

• Facilitate the development of enterprise architectures that integrate public cloud services with existing on‑prem or private cloud solutions.

• Support delivery teams during implementation and act as a trusted advisor throughout the engagement.

• Develop transformation roadmaps in alignment with performance, security, and operational excellence best practices.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Syntax methodologies, collateral, and accelerators for multicloud adoption.

• Provide market, technology, and trend insights to support client decision‑making.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years in IT consulting, cloud architecture, or enterprise transformation roles.

• Proven experience designing and implementing solutions on at least two major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Strong understanding of networking, security, integration, data platforms, and DevOps practices in cloud contexts.

• Familiarity with industry compliance frameworks and operational governance.

• Capability to simplify complex technology concepts for diverse business audiences.

• Proven ability to build trust and manage relationships in multicultural, geographically distributed teams.

• Negotiation and conflict resolution experience in professional services or consulting settings.

• Demonstrated adaptability and resilience in dynamic project environments.

• Comfort in leading workshops and executive briefings.

Preferred

• Multicloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Architect.

• Experience with hybrid architectures combining public cloud, private cloud, and on‑prem systems.

• Background in manufacturing, mining, or other industries served by Syntax.
