Procurement Specialist
Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to manage the sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management processes. This role is responsible for ensuring cost-effective procurement, maintaining supplier relationships, and supporting operational efficiency while aligning with company policies and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiation, purchasing, and supplier onboarding.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers/vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve cost savings and favorable agreements.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Monitor and manage purchase orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of goods/services.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and demand planning.
- Track and report on procurement metrics (cost savings, supplier performance, lead times).
- Manage supplier relationships and resolve any issues or escalations.
- Support budget control and cost optimization initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles.
- Strong experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and best practices.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in global or multi-country procurement environments.
- Knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies.
- Familiarity with category management.
- Certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or similar are a plus.
