Job Title: On-Site Support Technician
Role Overview
The On-Site Support Technician provides hands-on technical support to end users at client or company locations. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and a smooth user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and basic network issues
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications
- Support users with tools such as Microsoft Office and collaboration platforms like Microsoft Teams
- Manage user accounts and permissions (e.g., via Active Directory)
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and preventive maintenance
- Handle ticketing systems and document incidents and resolutions
- Coordinate with remote IT teams or vendors when escalation is required
- Set up and support meeting rooms, AV equipment, and conferencing tools
- Ensure compliance with IT policies and security standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–3 years of experience in IT support or help desk roles
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and device configuration
- Familiarity with ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow or similar)
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
- Strong communication and ability to work independently on-site
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience with Office 365 / Microsoft 365 environment
- Basic knowledge of network infrastructure (routers, switches, Wi-Fi)
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft certifications
- Experience supporting hybrid or remote work environments
