SAP Basis Consultant

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled SAP Basis Consultant to manage, support, and optimize SAP system landscapes across development, testing, and production environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP administration, system monitoring, installations, upgrades, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure stable and secure SAP operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and support SAP systems and landscapes
  • Perform SAP system administration activities including client administration, transport management, and user management
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security
  • Execute SAP kernel upgrades, patches, and system refreshes
  • Support SAP HANA database administration and system migrations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SAP Basis-related issues across environments
  • Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams during implementations and upgrades
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and audit requirements
  • Support cloud and hybrid SAP environments where applicable
  • Prepare technical documentation and operational procedures
  • Provide on-call or production support when required

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • 4+ years of SAP Basis administration experience
  • Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, and SAP system architecture
  • Experience with SAP installations, upgrades, migrations, and patching
  • Hands-on experience with transport management and system monitoring tools
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows server environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP Basis or SAP HANA certification preferred
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA environments
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Familiarity with Solution Manager, SAP Fiori, and SAP security concepts
  • Experience with automation and scripting tools
