Job Description – Service Desk Support
Position Summary
The Service Desk Support Specialist is the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance. This role is responsible for providing efficient and timely support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for hardware, software, and IT systems to ensure smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the first line of support for IT-related incidents and service requests via phone, email, or ticketing system.

Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and application issues for end-users.

Log, track, and document incidents and requests in the service management system, ensuring timely updates and resolutions.

Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support teams in accordance with established procedures.

Provide guidance to users on standard software, applications, and IT policies.

Assist with user account setup, password resets, and access management.

Support the deployment and configuration of desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.

Contribute to the creation and maintenance of knowledge base articles and technical documentation.

Monitor system alerts and respond proactively to minimize downtime.

Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

1–3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or service desk role.

Strong knowledge of Windows/Mac operating systems, Microsoft 365, and common business applications.

Familiarity with IT ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk).

Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Customer-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
