SAP Archiving Expert with SAP ILM Expertise

**Job Summary:**

The SAP Archiving Expert is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and management of data archiving solutions within an SAP environment. This role requires a deep understanding of SAP ILM to ensure compliance with data retention policies and to optimize system performance.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Archiving Strategy Development:** Design and implement data archiving strategies aligned with organizational needs and compliance requirements.

2. **SAP ILM Implementation:** Expertly utilize SAP ILM to manage data lifecycle, including retention and destruction policies in accordance with legal requirements.

3. **System Optimization:** Ensure optimal system performance through regular archiving and data management. Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to database growth and system efficiency.

4. **Data Management:** Oversee the safekeeping, backup, and recovery of archived data. Ensure data integrity and accessibility for audit and compliance purposes.

5. **Compliance and Regulation:** Stay updated with changes in data protection laws and regulations. Ensure SAP systems are compliant with GDPR and other relevant regulations.

6. **Stakeholder Collaboration:** Work closely with IT, legal, and business teams to align archiving activities with broader organizational objectives.

7. **Training and Support:** Provide expert guidance and training to IT staff and end-users on best practices for data archiving and SAP ILM.

8. **Project Management:** Lead archiving projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Extensive experience with SAP Data Archiving and SAP ILM.

- Knowledge of legal requirements related to data retention and disposal.

- Proficiency in project management and cross-functional collaboration.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Familiarity with programming language ABAP.

**Preferred Skills:**

- Certification in SAP Archiving and/or SAP ILM.

- Experience with additional SAP tools like SAP Fiori, SAP HANA, etc.
