Solution Architect, SAP Integrated Business Planning

Job Summary

Syntax is seeking an experienced SAP IBP Solution Architect to join our team in Canada. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and integration of SAP Integrated Business Planning solutions that support supply chain planning and business transformation goals. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to translate business requirements into scalable, effective solutions that improve planning processes, enhance operational efficiency, and support successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative SAP IBP solutions aligned with business and strategic objectives.
• Lead solution architecture activities across SAP IBP initiatives, from requirements analysis through implementation support.
• Create and maintain technical documentation covering architecture, design, configuration, and implementation details.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices and internal standards.
• Lead presales activities, including solution scoping, proposal development, offer presentations, and support for contract preparation.
• Oversee implementation of SAP IBP modules, including Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
• Support integration of SAP IBP with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and third-party systems to ensure efficient data flow and process alignment.
• Manage data migration, system configuration, and solution customization as needed.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements, assess current processes, and translate needs into effective SAP IBP solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across IT, supply chain, sales, finance, and related functions to ensure successful delivery.
• Serve as a key point of contact for IBP-related questions, guidance, and issue resolution.
• Develop training materials and facilitate workshops to support user adoption and solution proficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a consultant or similar role focused on SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) or comparable supply chain planning solutions.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering and managing SAP IBP implementation projects.
• Experience integrating SAP IBP with other SAP modules and third-party systems.
• Strong knowledge of SAP IBP capabilities, especially Demand Planning and S&OP.
• Solid understanding of SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and related SAP applications.
• Experience with data migration, system configuration, and customization in SAP IBP.
• Familiarity with integration tools and methods such as SAP PI/PO, APIs, or related technologies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to issue identification and resolution.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in team-oriented environments.
• Proficiency in English is required; French is considered an asset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
• Knowledge of current trends and innovations in supply chain planning and technology.
• Previous experience in a consulting environment.
• An appreciation for innovation, continuous improvement, and modern delivery approaches, including automation and AI-enabled services.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• SAP IBP certification or other relevant SAP certifications are highly desirable.
• Additional certifications in supply chain planning, solution architecture, or project management are an asset.
