Jr Security Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy Junior Security Engineer to join a small, dynamic team of security engineers. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity for growth and advancement in the field of cybersecurity, with a focus on the deployment and ongoing management of an enterprise-class Privileged Access Management (PAM) solution.

While prior formal IT work experience is not required, the ideal candidate should have a demonstrated aptitude for learning technology independently, such as through online platforms like Antisyphon Training. This role is perfect for an individual eager to develop a strong foundation in security engineering, learning in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in the deployment, configuration, and management of the organization’s PAM solution, ensuring secure access to critical systems and data.

· Collaborate with senior engineers to implement best practices in privilege management and security controls.

· Support daily PAM operations, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.

· Participate in cross-platform and multi-cloud security tasks, gaining experience in various technologies and platforms (Windows, AD, Linux, CyberArk, Cloudflare, etc.).

· Help maintain and improve security tools, including scripting and automation tasks in languages such as PowerShell, Python, and Bash.

· Document procedures and solutions and communicate effectively within the team.

Qualifications:

· Demonstrated interest in learning new technologies independently; familiarity with online technical resources and training.

· Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a close-knit team.

· Basic understanding or exposure to key technologies, including:

o Operating Systems: Windows, Active Directory, Linux.

o Scripting Languages: PowerShell, Python, Bash.

o Security Tools and Platforms: CyberArk, Splunk, Cloudflare.

o Cloud Environments: Private Cloud, AWS, OSI, Azure.

· Strong organizational skills and ability to focus on both individual tasks and team goals.
