Senior Marketing Automation Strategist

Job Overview

The Senior Marketing Automation Strategist is responsible for supporting lead generation and overall marketing effectiveness through the optimization and management of our marketing automation platform (HubSpot) and other business software and tools.

You’ll take the lead in automating marketing processes, integrating various software platforms, documenting and enforcing standards and ensuring the seamless execution of marketing campaigns, lead handling, and campaign reporting.

Core Responsibilities

  • Marketing Automation Platform Management: Oversee and optimize the HubSpot marketing automation platform to support effective lead generation, contact segmentation and handling. Develop and document standards (e.g., asset taxonomy/nomenclature, templates, etc.) and enforce adherence across multiple HubSpot instances in regions. Collaborate across the global team to implement best practices and ensure alignment with overall marketing objectives.
  • Data Integration and Analysis: Manage HubSpot integration needs with 6Sense, Salesforce, Power BI, Tableau and other business tools (e.g., content management system, Smartling) to streamline data flow and accurate reporting. Create and maintain comprehensive analytics dashboards and reports to support the Performance, Product Marketing and Sales teams.
  • HubSpot Administration: Train users, provide support, and act as a subject matter expert on HubSpot functionalities and best practices. Engage regularly with HubSpot SMEs to stay on top of platform updates, new features and other changes that impact how the organization leverages marketing automation.
  • Lead Management: Create and execute territory maps and lead pass plans in collaboration with marketing, sales and leadership teams. Monitor lead status, provide regular reporting, and identify issues and possible areas to improve and optimize lead handling.
  • Campaign Operations: As requested, help to develop and deploy end-to-end marketing campaigns and nurture streams. This includes creating workflows, landing pages, emails, audience segmentation, list uploads and management, quality assurance, performance optimization and other requirements. Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to measure campaign effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.

Requirements

  • 5+  years of experience in marketing automation or related roles.
  • Proven track record of success with marketing automation platforms, with at least 3 years hands-on experience with HubSpot, demonstrating measurable impact on lead generation and revenue.
  • Expertise in HubSpot, 6Sense, Salesforce integration, Power BI integration, and Tableau integration. Certifications are not required, but you will stand out if you have them.
  • Strong understanding of lead scoring methodologies and best practices, file management, HubSpot and Salesforce reporting and integrations.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing workflows, templates, and forms within a marketing automation platform.
  • Knowledge of regional data privacy and handling laws, such as GDPR and CASL and how to support compliance within the automation platform and other tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret data to drive actionable insights.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a high level of professionalism and accountability.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
