Role Overview
The Senior SAP FICO AMS Consultant is a key member of the Syntax SAP AMS Center of Excellence, responsible for the functional design, optimization, and continuous improvement of Finance and Controlling processes across S/4HANA environments.
This role demands advanced expertise in Group Reporting and/or Product Costing, and core FICO modules, combined with experience supporting complex, multi‑entity global organizations — SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud experience an asset.
You will collaborate closely with technical teams, process owners, and business stakeholders to ensure high‑quality service delivery, stability, and continuous process innovation for Syntax customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end‑to‑end functional support for SAP FICO areas within AMS, including Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), Asset Accounting (AA).
- Lead incident resolution, problem management, and small enhancement delivery aligned with AMS SLAs and best practices.
- Design, configure, and optimize SAP FICO solutions, ensuring adherence to clean‑core standards within S/4HANA.
- Work with integration teams (MM, PP, SD) to ensure FICO alignment across supply chain and manufacturing processes.
- Deliver configuration changes, and functional specifications for enhancements and interfaces.
- Collaborate with customers to identify continuous improvement opportunities and automation within FICO processes.
- Assist in migrations, conversions, and release management for FICO‑related components.
- Provide mentorship and functional guidance to junior AMS consultants.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–10 years of hands‑on SAP FICO experience with at least 2 full S/4HANA implementations.
- Bi-lingual, English/French.
- Strong expertise in Group Reporting and/or Product Costing
- Broad functional knowledge across GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and COPA.
- Experience supporting or implementing SAP S/4HANA Cloud (Public or Private) FICO functionality preferred.
- Deep understanding of integration points between FICO and other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP).
- Proficiency in Fiori applications for Finance, and Universal Journal concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with excellent stakeholder communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP Certification in S/4HANA Finance or Management Accounting.
- Experience with AMS service delivery frameworks.
- Public Cloud experience supporting Finance Scope Items (J60, 2V8, 2MF, etc.) is highly desirable.
