Senior SAP ABAP Developer

Job Summary: Syntax is seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP ABAP Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing custom enhancements, interfaces, reports, and transactions in line with technical and functional specifications. You will create technical documentation, execute and document tests, and actively participate in the design, realization, documentation, testing, and support phases. A solid understanding of SAP functional processes is essential to ensure effective collaboration and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical development services for both internal and external projects.
• Consult on all SAP-related technical matters, including custom programming, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.
• Represent Syntax in the SAP Business All-in-One helpdesk as part of the support team for customer issues.
• Maintain and assist with the organization and preparation of internal SAP technical demonstration systems to support the sales team as required.
• Stay current with the latest technology advancements from SAP in your areas of expertise.
• Promote Syntax’s objectives of offering superior customer service and achieving ‘Total Customer Satisfaction’ to establish long-term client relationships.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

• Participate in the overall design and testing phases of development.
• Familiarize yourself with client data sources and interface requirements.
• Manage client relationships at all levels within the client organization.
• Identify opportunities for business process improvements and document these improvements along with applying technical alternatives.
• Provide recommendations for solutions including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 full life cycle implementations of SAP.
• 8+ years of SAP development experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
