Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator to oversee and maintain our IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance. This role involves configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting network hardware and software, managing cloud and on-premises environments, and implementing security best practices. The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise with firewalls, switches, routers, VLANs, VPNs, cloud networking, and automation tools in an enterprise setting.
Network Administrator
Key Responsibilities
Network Infrastructure Management:
- Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN/WLAN networks, including VLAN segmentation and QoS configurations.
- Configure and manage firewalls (FortiGate, Sophos, Cisco ASA), switches (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, HP)
- Wi-Fi technologies Meraki
- Administer the DHCP, DNS, and IP address management (IPAM) to ensure stable network operations.
- Optimize Wi-Fi networks, including implementing RADIUS authentication, mesh networking, and guest VLANs.
- Implement and manage network monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds) to proactively identify performance bottlenecks.
- Provide technical support and guidance to employees regarding network and system-related issues.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for troubleshooting and procurement.
Security & Compliance:
- Configure Next-Gen Firewalls (NGFWs) and apply security policies, including Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS).
- Implement VPN solutions (SSL/IPSec, Site-to-Site, Remote Access VPNs) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing in collaboration with cybersecurity teams.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations (PIPEDA, GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001) and implement Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles.
