As an SAP UI5 / Fiori developer in our team you’ll be responsible of building SAP Fiori applications with constant and active communication with other participants in the team. Our goal is to build products, so you will be responsible for the UX in all its lifecycle stages.
Your responsibilities
-
Design and develop frontend applications using SAP UI5/Fiori, focusing on UI development with an understanding of UI/UX best practices.
-
Contribute to UI/UX design tasks when required, including creating wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups.
-
Build responsive, intuitive, and user-centric interfaces that drive efficiency in enterprise applications and enhance user experience.
-
Collaborate with product managers, backend developers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality.
-
Maintain ownership of tasks from concept to delivery, ensuring quality and timely completion.
-
Participate in code reviews, debugging, and testing to maintain code quality and ensure project timelines are met.
-
Working in an iterative CI/CD environment, focused on products releases and their evolution. This means it will be helpful if you are test-driven and a best-practices believer.
-
Staying up to date on the latest SAP UI developments and industry trends: this is an R&D role, so a proactive and innovation-oriented attitude is expected.
-
Elaborating technical documentation and taking part in the elaboration of the functional documentation.
Your profile
-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or any IT related fields.
-
At least 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP UI5/Fiori development.
-
Strong knowledge of the usual suspects: SAP UI5, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and OData services. We expect you to have experience in customizing SAP Fiori standard components, creating SAP Fiori custom components and, at least, demonstrate knowledge on SAP Fiori Elements.
-
Be familiar with SAP S/4HANA and BTP architectures from the UX point of view. Having experience working with legacy versions as SAP ECC is a plus.
-
Having an ABAP background is always a plus. A basic understanding of ways of integration with the backend is welcomed as well: RAP, CAP and the foundation of CDS views, “classic” OData exposure, etc.
-
Experience with UI/UX design principles, able to contribute to design tasks such as wireframes, prototypes, and mockups, while focusing primarily on UI development.
-
Experience working in a remote, global team environment is a plus.
-
Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD) and UI/UX best practices.
-
Vue.js experience is a plus, as it will support other internal initiatives.
-
Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and frontend frameworks.
-
Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Confluence.
-
Problem-solving attitude and solid communication skills, as you’ll be working in a highly cohesive team. English is necessary, but German and Spanish are nice-to-have.
