Syntax is seeking a FICO Public Cloud professional to support the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP Finance and Controlling solutions in public cloud environments. This role partners with clients and internal teams to translate business requirements into scalable cloud-based solutions, guide financial process transformation, and ensure successful delivery across the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings strong SAP FICO expertise, experience with public cloud delivery, and the ability to support modern finance operations in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead or support solution design for SAP FICO processes in SAP public cloud environments.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to finance and controlling functions.
• Configure and validate core FICO functionality aligned to client business needs and standard cloud capabilities.
• Support end-to-end delivery activities including fit-to-standard workshops, testing, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including functional leads, technical teams, project managers, and client stakeholders.
• Advise clients on process standardization, cloud best practices, and transformation opportunities.
• Identify issues, recommend solutions, and support resolution during implementation and support phases.
• Contribute to documentation, knowledge transfer, and user enablement activities.
• Ensure delivery quality, consistency, and alignment with project timelines and objectives.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and the adoption of modern delivery methods.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in SAP FICO, including finance and controlling business processes.
• Hands-on experience supporting SAP cloud or public cloud implementations.
• Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, design solutions, and support configuration and testing activities.
• Strong understanding of finance processes such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting, cost center accounting, and month-end close.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders and translating needs into functional solutions.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a client-facing consulting environment.
• Experience supporting end-to-end project delivery across implementation or transformation engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud or related cloud finance solutions.
• Familiarity with standardized cloud deployment approaches and fit-to-standard methodology.
• Experience in consulting, managed services, or enterprise transformation programs.
• Understanding of integration points between FICO and other SAP modules or external systems.
• Experience supporting testing cycles, training, and go-live readiness activities.
• An appreciation for innovation, continuous improvement, and modern delivery approaches, including automation and AI-enabled services.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business, or a related field preferred.
• SAP certification in FICO, SAP S/4HANA, or SAP Public Cloud is a plus.
• Additional professional certifications in finance, accounting, or enterprise applications are desirable.
