Job Summary
The FICO Public Cloud Consultant is responsible for supporting and delivering finance and controlling solutions within SAP public cloud environments. This role partners with clients to analyze business requirements, design effective solutions, and support implementation activities that improve financial processes, reporting, and operational efficiency. The consultant plays a key role in helping organizations adopt modern SAP cloud capabilities while ensuring alignment with business goals and delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design, configuration, and delivery of SAP FICO solutions in public cloud environments.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective solution designs.
• Assist with finance and controlling process analysis, fit-to-standard workshops, and solution validation.
• Configure and support core FICO functionality, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting, cost center accounting, and internal orders as applicable.
• Work closely with project teams to support implementation, testing, cutover, and go-live activities.
• Troubleshoot functional issues and provide clear recommendations to resolve defects or process gaps.
• Ensure delivered solutions align with Syntax quality standards, project timelines, and client expectations.
• Support documentation, training, and knowledge transfer activities for clients and internal teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in delivery methods, solution design, and client outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in SAP Finance and Controlling, with hands-on involvement in implementation or support projects.
• Knowledge of SAP public cloud environments and the associated delivery approach.
• Strong understanding of core finance and accounting business processes.
• Ability to work with clients to gather requirements, analyze needs, and support solution design.
• Experience participating in workshops, testing cycles, and deployment activities.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced consulting environment.
• Experience producing clear documentation and supporting project deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud or related cloud finance solutions.
• Prior consulting experience supporting enterprise SAP implementations.
• Exposure to integration points between finance and other business functions.
• Familiarity with agile or modern delivery approaches.
• An appreciation for innovation, continuous improvement, and modern delivery approaches, including automation and AI-enabled services.
• Experience supporting global or multi-entity finance environments.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• SAP certification in Finance, S/4HANA, or Public Cloud solutions is an asset.
• Additional professional certifications in accounting, finance, or SAP are considered an advantage.
