Senior SAP Basis Consultant
Job Summary: The Senior SAP Basis Consultant will play a pivotal role in supporting Syntax's rapid growth by leveraging strong leadership capabilities and extensive SAP Basis knowledge. This position is responsible for defining high-level end-to-end industry-specific business processes, identifying solutions, and facilitating decision-making to align with client business strategies and requirements. The successful candidate will contribute to quality management, drive business development, and act as a key expert within the BASIS community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define high-level end-to-end industry-specific and corporate customer business processes and derive lower-level business processes.
- Identify appropriate end-to-end BASIS solution designs to support the to-be business processes and business requirements.
- Analyze solution gaps, develop gap closure options, and document, present, and discuss architecture and solution options, recommendations, and implications.
- Facilitate and support decision processes aligned with client business strategies, drivers, requirements, pain points, challenges, and relevant industry trends.
- Participate in training, system setup, testing, documentation, and maintenance support activities as necessary.
- Analyze changes required in the functional solution architecture due to shifts in business requirements, processes, or technical requirements and develop options for incorporating those changes.
- Participate in project quality management tasks, including peer and quality reviews of specifications, design documents, and code reviews.
- Drive business development efforts and support license and services sales initiatives.
- Contribute as an expert to the BASIS community, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of SAP BASIS consulting experience.
- Strong end-user training experience.
- Knowledge of RISE/GROW with SAP.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with NetWeaver, S/4HANA, Solution Manager, and hybrid (Cloud & On-Premise) architectures.
- Experience in administration of BTP Cloud ALM.
- Excellent client-facing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP Certification.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Education & Certifications:
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- SAP Certification is preferred.
