Role Overview
The Senior People Operations Coordinator will be responsible for managing and executing a wide range of HR operational activities for our employees. This role combines People Operations, Payroll, and HR Compliance, ensuring alignment with local labour laws and company policies. The incumbent will collaborate closely with other regional People Operations team members and with the Slovakia Country Head acting as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers.
Key Responsibilities
People Operations
- Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle for Slovakia, including onboarding, offboarding, and internal changes.
- Organize and facilitate Welcome Days for new hires.
- Maintain data accuracy and update employee data in SAP SuccessFactors (SFSF), including corrections and changes.
- Manage and update the Slovakia People Ops intranet page.
- Ensure compliance with Slovakia labour laws and internal HR policies.
- Support internal and external audits, compliance checks, and reporting requirements.
- Register and deregister employees with social and health insurance authorities.
- Maintain accurate and organized employee files (digital and physical).
- Enter new hires into the Payroll system and maintain changes during the month.
- Oversee attendance tracking and ensure timely updates in the systems.
- Expense reimbursement processing
- Manage 3rd pillar pension contribution administration.
Payroll
- Process monthly end to end payroll process
- Manage payroll-related operational tasks including attendance closing and coordinating payroll calculation.
- Handle social and health insurance reporting and yearly tax calculations.
- Support business trip, benefits, and recreation allowance processes.
- Participate in internal and external audits related to HR and payroll.
- Manage annual tax reconciliation process in compliance with Slovak legislation, including collection of employee documentation, performing year-end tax calculations, processing adjustments in payroll, and submitting statutory reports to tax authorities
Collaboration
- Work closely with other departments to ensure process alignment and knowledge sharing.
- Act as a liaison between employees and managers and Slovakia Country Head
Qualifications & Skills
- Mandatory:
- 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role
- Fluency in Slovak and English (business level).
- Proven experience in People Operations, HR administration, or payroll coordination.
- Strong knowledge of Slovakia labour law and statutory requirements.
- Preferred:
- German language skills (basic to intermediate).
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors and eHuman – HUMAN or similar HRIS.
- Experience in a multinational or regional HR operations role.
- Soft Skills:
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and file management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proactive problem-solving approach.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
