SAP Principal/Senior Consultant FI/CO

Do you want to leverage your SAP expertise in a highly responsible key role and help companies shape the future of their Finance and Controlling processes?

At SYNTAX, you will take on central responsibility as a Principal/Senior SAP FI/CO Consultant in modern S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition and private cloud transformation projects – from strategic advisory to successful go‑live. You will design cloud‑ready, scalable solutions and play a decisive role in shaping the digital Finance roadmap of our international clients.

Your responsibilities:

• Independent management and delivery of SAP S/4HANA Cloud (Public Edition) implementations, including fit‑to‑standard workshops, process scoping, and activation methodology
• Advisory for global Finance & Controlling organizations on cloud architectures, Public Cloud capabilities, and the transition from on‑premise to cloud
• Design of target processes using standardized S/4HANA Cloud Best Practices, with focus on configurable solutions rather than custom developments
• Implementation and configuration of SAP FI/CO in S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, incl. data migration, integration, and extensibility (in‑app & side‑by‑side)
• Contribution to the continuous enhancement of our SAP Finance & Controlling cloud portfolio, aligned with the SYNTAX cloud strategy
• Coaching and developing consultants in cloud finance processes and S/4HANA Cloud methodology
• Participation in presales, including cloud solution design, scoping, effort estimation, demonstrations, and customer presentations
• Guiding clients through their cloud transformation journey – from initial assessments and deployment planning to hypercare
• Harmonization and standardization of Finance and Controlling processes using S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition Best Practices, ensuring long‑term scalability and compliance

Your profile:

• Several years of experience in SAP FI/CO consulting, ideally with exposure to S/4HANA Cloud (Public or Private Edition)
• Strong expertise in Finance and Management Accounting end‑to‑end processes
• Experience with cloud implementations, fit‑to‑standard approaches, or S/4HANA migration scenarios
• Understanding of cloud system architecture, including Business Configuration, SAP Central Business Configuration (CBC), and integration into SAP and non‑SAP systems
• Knowledge of associated processes in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Production, and their integration into financial value flows
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori, SAP Best Practices, and the Public Cloud extensibility framework (key-user extensions, BTP side-by-side)
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable guidance
• Excellent proficiency in German and English, both spoken and written
