Senior ABAP Developer

Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior ABAP Developer to join our SAP team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, enhancement, and support of SAP custom solutions across various SAP modules and landscapes. The ideal candidate combines strong technical ABAP expertise with solid analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement custom SAP ABAP solutions
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable development solutions
• Work on enhancements, reports, interfaces, forms, conversions, and workflows
• Develop and support RFCs, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancements, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, and IDocs
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business teams to ensure high-quality solution delivery
• Support developments in both project implementation and AMS/support environments
• Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with development standards and best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
• Contribute to technical documentation, effort estimations, and solution design discussions
• Support integration topics across SAP and non-SAP systems
• Develop and support SAP Fiori / UI5 applications in cooperation with frontend or functional teams
• Contribute to backend services for Fiori applications, including OData services and related ABAP developments
• Support development activities in SAP BTP, especially in areas related to extensions, integrations, and custom applications
• Collaborate on side-by-side extension scenarios and cloud-based SAP development concepts where applicable
• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge within the team

Required Skills and Experience

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development
• Strong knowledge of:
  • ABAP Objects
  • Reports, ALV, Module Pool
  • Enhancements, User Exits, BADIs
  • RFC, BAPI, IDoc
  • Smart Forms / Adobe Forms
  • SAP interfaces and integration concepts
  • OData services
  • SAP Fiori / UI5 backend support
• Experience with debugging, performance tuning, and technical issue resolution
• Good understanding of SAP Data Dictionary and SAP development standards
• Experience working in implementation projects and/or AMS support
• Basic to solid exposure to SAP BTP services, extension concepts, or integration scenarios
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in parallel
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Very good English language skills, both written and spoken

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA
• Knowledge of CDS Views, RAP, SAP Gateway, and Fiori architecture
• Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) development or extension scenarios
• Experience with workflow development
• Exposure to integration technologies such as SAP CPI / PI / PO
• Experience in cross-functional SAP environments

Education

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  or equivalent practical experience
