Responsibilities

· Installation, commissioning and support of virtualization servers as well as the associated infrastructure servers and other components in the hardware and software environment

· Administration of complex virtual infrastructures based on IBM Power

· Knowledge of VMware, Nutanix and Hyper-V platform is advantage.

· Creation of operational documents and concepts for technical solutions in a scalable infrastructure

· Part of the on-call duty

· Collaboration in international project teams and project management

· Responsible for Capacity management, Release management

· Responsible for monitoring and maintenance, incident management as well as planning and implementation of changes

· Continuous optimization, automation and further development of the existing infrastructure mainly on IBM Power but also on VMware, Nutanix and HyperV hypervisor

· Coordination of internal maintenance

· Experience in and ability to troubleshoot hypervisor environment issues

· Proactive optimization of systems to avoid outages

· Be part of expert Team for Virtualization & compute

· Working with our processes, based on ITIL

Qualifications

· Training in the IT (e.g. IT specialist) or successfully completed studies in computer science or a comparable field of study

· Several years of professional experience in virtualization with IBM power in an enterprise environment.

· VMware, Nutanix and Hyper-V platform knowledge is advantage

· Knowledge of automation/scripting languages is advantage

· Knowledge of server hardware maintenance

· High level of commitment and motivation

· IBM power certification is advantage

· Project management experience is advantage

· Good English skills to be able to work in an international team

· Distinct team and communication skills, problem-solving competence as well as analytical-structured, self-organized way of working
