Accounts Receivables Specialist (Spain & Germany)
Position Overview
The Accounts Receivables (AR) Specialist is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer payments, maintaining healthy cash flow, and safeguarding the financial accuracy of the organization. This role supports AR activities for Spain and Germany, ensuring compliance with local requirements while collaborating closely with finance, sales, and customer service teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Payment Processing
• Record, apply, and reconcile customer payments accurately and timely.
• Monitor payment postings across banking portals and accounting systems.
• Ensure proper allocation to invoices and resolve any unapplied payments.
2. Collections
• Contact clients to follow up on overdue invoices.
• Manage collection activities proactively to reduce outstanding balances.
• Maintain professional communication while resolving payment-related delays.
3. Account Maintenance
• Update and maintain customer account information.
• Apply credits, adjustments, and refunds as required.
• Ensure billing information is accurate and compliant with Spain and Germany requirements.
4. Reporting
• Prepare regular reports on accounts aging, cash application results, and collection status.
• Identify trends and present insights to management regarding cash flow and AR performance.
5. Dispute Resolution
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, and customer claims.
• Collaborate with internal departments to clarify charges, correct invoices, or manage credit approvals.
6. Process Improvement
• Identify inefficiencies within the AR workflow.
• Recommend enhancements that improve accuracy, speed, and customer satisfaction.
• Support implementation of updated procedures, tools, and automation.
Key Skills & Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in AR, preferably within an SAP consulting environment.
• SAP Knowledge: Strong understanding of SAP applications, and familiarity with consulting practices related to optimization services.
• Language: proficiency in English, desire German and Spanish knowledge.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making and performance improvement.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and collaborate effectively with teams across different regions
• Experience working with accounting software (SAP, S4/Hana)
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize effectively
