Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior ABAP / RAP Developer with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA backend development and strong understanding of SAP extensibility models (in-app and side-by-side extensions via SAP BTP). Experience in SAP Fiori/UI5 development is a plus but not mandatory. The role focuses on delivering upgrade-safe, high-performance solutions aligned with SAP’s Clean Core principles.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, develop, and optimize ABAP programs including CDS Views, OData services, and RAP-based applications.

· Apply SAP extensibility models for creating secure and upgrade-compliant solutions.

· Collaborate with functional consultants and architects to translate requirements into technical designs.

· Perform performance tuning, debugging, and issue resolution.

· Deliver solutions compliant with SAP Public/Private Cloud development guidelines.

· Create clear technical documentation and ensure best practices are followed.

Required Skills & Experience

· Minimum 6 years of SAP ABAP development experience.

· Strong expertise in:

o Object-Oriented ABAP

o Core Data Services (CDS) and ABAP SQL

o OData services development

o ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)

o SAP extensibility models (in-app and side-by-side via BTP)

· Familiarity with CI/CD, gCTS, and version control (Git).

· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Good to Have

· Experience in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud projects.

· SAP Fiori Elements / SAPUI5 development skills.

· Knowledge of CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model).

· SAP Development Certifications.
