Job Title

SAP MM Lead Consultant – Production Support (P1/P2 Tickets)
Experience: 6–8 Years


Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP MM Lead Consultant to provide production support for critical business operations and handle P1 and P2 priority incidents. The role requires strong functional expertise in SAP Materials Management (MM) and Quality Management (QM), with the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve high-priority issues within SLA timelines.

The consultant will work closely with business users, cross-functional teams, and technical teams to ensure smooth functioning of procurement, inventory, and quality processes in the SAP environment.


Key Responsibilities

Production Support & Incident Management

  • Handle P1 and P2 priority tickets related to SAP MM and QM modules.
  • Ensure timely resolution of incidents in line with agreed SLA/KPI targets.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring production issues and propose preventive actions.
  • Coordinate with ABAP, BASIS, integration, and business teams for issue resolution.
  • Support ticket triage, impact assessment, prioritization, and escalation management.

 

SAP MM Functional Support

  • Provide support for procurement and inventory management processes including:
    • Purchase Requisition
    • Purchase Order
    • Goods Receipt / Goods Issue
    • Invoice Verification
    • Vendor Master
    • Material Master
    • Inventory Management
    • Stock Transfers
    • Subcontracting and Consignment processes
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to pricing, account determination, and release strategies.
  • Support integration points between MM and FI/SD/PP modules.

 

Required Skills

  • 6–8 years of experience in SAP MM and QM functional consulting/support
  • Strong experience in production support and handling P1/P2 tickets
  • Good knowledge of SAP MM processes:
    • Procurement
    • Inventory Management
    • Invoice Verification
    • Material Master and Vendor Master
  • Good knowledge of SAP QM processes:
    • Inspection Lot
    • Results Recording
    • Usage Decision
    • Quality Notifications
  • Experience in issue analysis, business troubleshooting, and functional testing
  • Strong understanding of integration between MM, QM, FI, SD, and PP
  • Experience with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA environment
  • Exposure to Fiori applications related to MM/QM
  • Knowledge of interfaces, batch management, and valuation processes
  • Familiarity with change management and release processes
  • Understanding of ITIL support framework

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Business, or related discipline
