The SAP EHS Consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting the SAP Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) module to help the organization comply with environmental and safety regulations, mitigate risks, and manage incidents. The role includes working with different stakeholders to gather requirements, configure the EHS module, and ensure integration with other SAP modules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of SAP EHS: Lead the configuration and implementation of SAP EHS modules such as product safety, hazardous substance management, incident management, occupational health, and environment compliance.
  • Business process analysis: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their EHS requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
  • System configuration: Configure SAP EHS modules based on business requirements, ensuring optimal system performance and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Incident management: Implement incident management solutions within SAP EHS, ensuring quick and effective reporting and management of workplace incidents and accidents.
  • Data management: Ensure accurate data collection, maintenance, and reporting for EHS-related activities such as safety data sheets (SDS), risk assessments, and hazardous material tracking.
  • Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with industry-specific environmental, health, and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, REACH, GHS).
  • Training and support: Provide training and ongoing support to end-users on SAP EHS functionalities, helping them optimize its use.
  • Integration: Collaborate with other SAP module teams (e.g., SAP MM, SD, PM) to ensure seamless integration of SAP EHS with other business processes.
  • Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation for all configurations, processes, and modifications related to SAP EHS.
  • Continuous improvement: Monitor the effectiveness of the SAP EHS module and identify opportunities for improvements or upgrades.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications: SAP EHS certification or equivalent SAP module certification is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of experience working with SAP EHS modules, including configuration and implementation.
    • Experience in EHS processes like hazardous material management, safety data sheets (SDS), regulatory reporting, and incident management.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in SAP EHS sub-modules such as Product Safety, Occupational Health, Waste Management, and Industrial Hygiene.
    • Experience with EHS data migration and integration with SAP and non-SAP systems.
    • Knowledge of relevant safety, environmental, and health standards and regulations.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations (e.g., OSHA, REACH, GHS).
  • Experience with other SAP modules (MM, PM, QM, SD) and how they interact with EHS.
  • Project management experience, particularly in SAP implementations.
