Principal Consultant - Oracle EBS

Job Summary

The Principal Consultant - Oracle EBS serves as a trusted advisor, guiding organizations through the implementation, customization, and optimization of Oracle E-Business Suite applications. This role involves a combination of technical expertise, strategic planning, and leadership to deliver high-value solutions to meet client business needs. The consultant will work closely with stakeholders, development teams, and end-users to ensure seamless project execution and ongoing support.


Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Design and Implementation:

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of Oracle EBS modules such as Financials, Supply Chain, HRMS, or Procurement.
  • Analyze client business processes and requirements, and translate them into Oracle EBS configurations and customizations.
  • Develop and document functional and technical design specifications.

2. Client Engagement and Advisory:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Provide thought leadership and strategic insights for Oracle EBS best practices and upgrades.
  • Conduct workshops, training sessions, and demonstrations for stakeholders and end-users.

3. Project Management and Delivery:

  • Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve project challenges effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and Oracle guidelines.

4. Technical Expertise:

  • Customize Oracle EBS applications using PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, and Reports as required.
  • Support integrations with other enterprise systems through APIs, middleware, or custom scripts.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues during and after deployment.

5. Continuous Improvement and Support:

  • Perform gap analysis and recommend enhancements to existing Oracle EBS environments.
  • Provide post-implementation support, including bug fixes, upgrades, and system maintenance.
  • Stay up-to-date with Oracle EBS releases, patches, and new features.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 8+ years of experience with Oracle EBS implementation and consulting.
    • Proven expertise in at least two Oracle EBS modules (e.g., Financials, Procurement, Supply Chain, HRMS).
    • Strong experience with Oracle EBS R12 and cloud migration projects.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms/Reports, Workflow, and OAF (Oracle Application Framework).
    • Knowledge of Oracle EBS architecture, APIs, and integration techniques.
    • Familiarity with middleware tools like Oracle SOA Suite or Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
    • Leadership and team management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP.
  • Certification in Oracle EBS or related Oracle products.
  • Experience in industries like manufacturing, retail, or financial services.
  • Knowledge of Agile or other project management methodologies
