Job Title: Junior Consulting Manager
Role Summary:
The Junior Consulting Manager plays a supportive role in managing and developing a team of consultants. Reporting to a senior manager, the Junior Consulting Manager assists in coaching, recruiting, training, and ensuring the success of consultants in their roles. This position is ideal for candidates looking to grow into a leadership role within consulting.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining a list of required skills for the consulting team and identifying areas for growth.
- Support recruiting, onboarding, and training efforts for consultants.
- Help consultants navigate company policies, processes, and client requirements to succeed in their roles.
- Collaborate with teams like Resourcing, Project Management, and HR to allocate consultants to projects effectively.
- Track consultant utilization and workload distribution, offering recommendations for balance and efficiency.
- Provide input on performance feedback and career development opportunities for consultants.
- Act as a point of contact for consultants, addressing questions and helping them resolve challenges.
- Promote the company’s core values: Accountability, Teamwork, Excellence, Customer Focus, and a Can-Do Attitude.

Travel Requirements:
- Occasional travel to Syntax offices may be required. Candidates must be local to the Toronto office to be considered and or have the ability to travel between USA/Canada.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Human Resources or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of professional experience in a consulting or team coordination role.
Preferred:

Experience with process improvement techniques is a plus.

Strong skills in Excel and Reporting is a plus.
