SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) Consultant

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) Consultant to design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing integration solutions between SAP and third-party systems. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in SAP CPI, API Management, and integration lifecycle management, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and develop integration scenarios using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).
• Build, optimize, and maintain integration flows (iFlows) using adapters such as SOAP, REST, SFTP, IDoc, OData, and JDBC.
• Establish and manage secure connectivity through SAP API Management and other relevant SAP BTP services.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather integration requirements and translate them into robust technical designs.
• Implement effective error handling, logging, and monitoring mechanisms for production environments.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and perform performance tuning to ensure stability and efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including integration designs, configuration details, and operational procedures.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5–7 years of SAP integration experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on experience with SAP CPI.
• Strong expertise in:
  • CPI iFlow design, mapping, and scripting
  • Groovy and JavaScript
  • Adapters: OData, SFTP, SOAP, REST, IDoc, JDBC
  • Data formats: XML, XSLT, JSON
  • API Management and SAP BTP connectivity concepts
• Solid experience integrating with SAP S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, and external third-party platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud integration patterns, middleware concepts, and security standards.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional and collaborative environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating SAP Public Cloud solutions.
• Exposure to SAP Event Mesh, Open Connectors, or CPI-DS.
• Knowledge of SAP PI/PO migration projects to CPI.
• Experience with Integration Advisor for design governance and integration best practices.
• Working knowledge of ABAP to support backend logic extension and advanced integration scenarios.
• Relevant SAP certifications, such as SAP CPI or SAP BTP certifications.
