SAP Cloud & Enterprise Sales Account Executive
Job Summary
Syntax South Africa is looking for a high-performing SAP Cloud & Enterprise Sales Account Executive to drive net-new logo acquisition and grow our SAP transformation business in the South African market. This is a hunter-led role for a candidate with real credibility selling SAP cloud solutions, SAP professional services, and ERP transformation programmes into enterprise and upper mid-market customers.
The successful candidate will be comfortable leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving S/4HANA, RISE with SAP, GROW with SAP, SAP Public Cloud, migration programmes, and Application Management Services (AMS). This person must be able to build pipeline proactively, engage senior business and IT decision-makers, and work effectively within SAP ecosystem co-sell motions.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive net-new logo acquisition for SAP cloud and enterprise opportunities in South Africa
- Build, qualify, and convert pipeline across SAP cloud, ERP transformation, migration, and managed services opportunities
- Position Syntax’s SAP-related services and solutions to enterprise and upper mid-market clients
- Support opportunities involving S/4HANA, RISE with SAP, GROW with SAP, SAP Public Cloud, and AMS
- Lead consultative sales conversations with CIOs, CFOs, COOs, business executives, and IT stakeholders
- Coordinate effectively with presales, delivery, partner, and SAP ecosystem teams
- Navigate complex sales cycles including discovery, qualification, proposal development, commercial negotiation, and close
- Maintain strong forecasting discipline, CRM hygiene, and pipeline accuracy
- Develop account and territory plans aligned to target industries and growth priorities
- Represent Syntax credibly in partner-led and co-sell motions with SAP South Africa and related ecosystem stakeholders
Required Experience
- 5+ years of direct experience selling SAP solutions and/or SAP services
- Proven experience selling core SAP ERP / S/4HANA / cloud ERP / transformation-related solutions, not only line-of-business products
- Demonstrated success in a hunter-led, quota-carrying role with net-new logo acquisition responsibility
- Experience selling professional services, implementation, consulting, migration, or managed services alongside software
- Strong enterprise sales capability with experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder buying cycles
- Ability to engage credibly with executive decision-makers including CIO, CFO, COO, and business leadership
- Experience with pipeline generation, forecasting, and CRM discipline
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred Experience
- Experience with RISE with SAP, GROW with SAP, S/4HANA migration, SAP Public Cloud, or AMS opportunities
- Existing relationships in the SAP South Africa ecosystem
- Private-sector industry experience in one or more of the following: manufacturing, retail, distribution, mining, or related sectors
- Experience in SAP partner, consulting, or services-led sales environments
- Track record of selling larger, transformation-led enterprise deals

- Knows how to generate demand, not only manage an inherited portfolio
- Can discuss SAP cloud and migration conversations with confidence and credibility
- Understands how to work across SAP, partner, and internal teams to win complex deals
- Brings measurable evidence of quota attainment, new-logo wins, and deal ownership
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
