POSITION SUMMARY
The Security Reporting Specialist (m/f/d) is responsible for transforming complex security operational data into clear, actionable insights for Syntax leadership, internal stakeholders, and customers. This role owns the production of regular SOC reports, KPI/KRI dashboards, and trend analysis, ensuring the measurable value of the SOC’s work is understood across technical and strategic audiences.
Responsibilities
· Design, produce, and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly SOC operational reports for internal management and customers.
· Track and report on incident volumes, categories, resolution times, and SLA performance.
· Highlight threat trends, recurring issues, and systemic risks identified from SOC case data.
· Define and maintain SOC KPIs and KRIs with SOC leadership.
· Analyse detection accuracy, false positive rates, and mean-time-to-detect/respond.
· Identify opportunities for process improvement based on metrics.
· Build and maintain automated dashboards for real-time SOC performance visibility.
· Integrate data from SIEM, EDR, case management, and vulnerability scanning platforms
· Prepare and present customer reports highlighting SOC activity, threat landscape updates, and security posture improvements.
· Liaise with the broader security organisation, other internal stakeholders and customers to ensure reports are accurate, contextual, and relevant.
· Align reporting with relevant standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, etc.).
· Prepare evidence packets and data extracts to support audits.
Required Skills and Experience
· 3+ years in related role, including a strong security operations and analytics background.
· Analytical skills, problem solving and critical thinking with a desire and eagerness to acquire new knowledge and constantly learn.
· Resourceful, self-motivated and someone who shines as an individual with proven track record building data-driven performance reports.
· Strong with reporting and data visualisation platforms.
· Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, case management, and threat intel platforms.
· Understanding of SOC workflows, incident categories, and security metrics.
· Outstanding written communication skills for both technical and executive-level audiences, and ability to convey clear, compelling stories from complex security datasets.

Mandatory Requirements:
Nationality or Work Authorization: Spanish or Portuguese nationality, or alternatively a permanent work permit/VISA for Spain or Portugal.
Language Proficiency: Advanced level of Spanish and English (both written and spoken).
