SAP Digital Manufacturing (DM) Consultant (m/f/d)

About the Role

We are looking for a Consultant or Senior Consultant with strong expertise in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) — ideally with hands-on experience in SAP Digital Manufacturing (DM) or SAP ME/MII.
The ideal candidate combines a solid understanding of production processes with advanced technical integration skills, supporting clients in their digital transformation journeys within manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the implementation and configuration of SAP DM (Digital Manufacturing) or other MES solutions.
• Design and deliver ERP/MES integration scenarios, ensuring seamless data flow between shop floor and enterprise systems.
• Support machine connectivity initiatives, including integration via OPC UA and MQTT protocols.
• Develop and customize interfaces and extensions using JavaScript and related technologies.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, process owners, and technical teams to translate manufacturing needs into functional solutions.
• Contribute to solution design, documentation, and testing in both greenfield and brownfield implementations.
• Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in MES/Manufacturing-focused consulting (SAP DM, ME, or MII preferred).
• Proven experience in ERP-to-MES integration and shop floor connectivity.
• Knowledge of machine communication protocols (OPC UA, MQTT).
• Proficiency in JavaScript for interface customization or extensions.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and digital transformation concepts (Industry 4.0).
• Experience working in international project environments.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (both written and spoken).
• German or French are a plus. 

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP certifications in Digital Manufacturing Cloud, ME, or MII.
• Experience with cloud environments (BTP, Azure).
• Exposure to IoT or edge integration projects.

Mandatory Requirements:

Nationality or Work Authorization: Spanish or Portuguese nationality, or alternatively a permanent work permit/VISA for Spain or Portugal.
