Responsibilities

Develop, design and operate an on-prem Kubernetes container service based on SUSE Rancher

· Troubleshoot and analyze errors on various server systems,

· Ensuring seamless operation of our mission-critical 24x7 production systems

· Administration of Linux/Unix standard services and shell scripting

· Development of high-availability and high-performance server and customer solutions for SAP and application operations

· Implementation and administration of servers

· Upgrade and patching

· Linux operation (fault clearance, capacity planning)

· Project management and collaboration

· Documentation

· Participation in on-call service

Qualifications

· High skill and experience in designing and operating a container service based on Kubernetes and SUSE Rancher

· Excellent knowledge and several years of experience with 24x7 production systems in the UNIX environment.

· At least five years of experience in server administration under Linux/Unix (e.g. SLES/RHEL/Ubuntu)

· Network know-how (TCP/IP, network design, functions such as VLAN, routing)

· First experiences with Multi Cloud Orchestration (Private Cloud, Public Cloud)

· Knowledge in web server’s desirable

· Project experience (evaluation, planning, implementation, documentation)

· ITIL certification / experience

· Experience in automation, e.g., with SALT and Ansible

· Presentation skills and strong communication skills

· Willingness to work WE & night and on-call duty

· A high level of commitment

· Service and customer orientation
